This is not today. Today was yuk. This is a week or so ago and the conditions were pretty cool but beautiful. I feel like letting the pictures do the talking today ....
I'm glad that you did'nt label your bird photos. Since I am not from Australia, it gave me the opportunity to pull out my field guide and figure them out. Pacific Gull, Red-capped Plover, Sanderling, Eastern Rosella, Rufous Whistler. You already identified Red Wattlebird but I never would have gotten that one anyway. Did I get the others right? I'm not too sure about the plover.
Wow a great effort from a different hemisphere! Pretty close John. It was a bit unfair to include two Red-capped plover photos that looked so unlike (i.e.: no sanderling!). The whistler on this occasion is the Golden whistler. It's not a great photo and the early morning glow has given it a different hue! Peter
Pete, who is the bottom bird?? No pun intended.
ReplyDeleteLove your calendar shot, congrats!
Thanks Arija
DeleteRed wattlebird looking like me singing in the shower!

Thanks Pete, I thought I recognised that backside.

Great set of pictures - I'm glad that I will never be on the receiving end of a pacific gulls beak!
